5 Ways to reduce single use plastic

Cut down on your plastic waste with our 5 simple lifestyle tips.

A ban on imports of key items came into effect on January 1, 2021 including products such as plastic bags, cutlery, straws, plates, cotton buds, food containers, and stirrers. This is definitely a step in the right direction! How can you set yourself free from plastic?

Well, it's not that easy! but reducing plastic doesn't have to mean a complete instant chance in your daily routine. There are little ways to make a big difference.

1. Break up with bottled water

Save money and say good bye to single use plastic bottles for good! Invest in a good water bottle and stay hydrated on the go!

2. STOP using cling film

Eliminate cling wrap by switching to beeswax wrap, which is washable and wraps up food just as well.

3. Shop with reusable bags

This is quite simple, take a reusable bag when shopping for your groceries. Don't forget the veggy and bread bags too!

4. Skip the straw

Do without it but if you like having something to sip with, use a bamboo straw or any other type of reusable straw.

5. Cut out the disposable K-cups

Invest in a coffe cup and slirp your way through the day and stop using a disposable coffe cup daily.
